How to join the MDBR as a disease team

New Team applications will open in the fall for the next years MDBR (I.E. MDBR 2023 applications will open fall 2022). To be sure you don’t miss the application deadline follow our social media for application announcements and join our mailing list.

There are two ways to participate in the MDBR:

1. Grant Match Fundraising Team: Teams must raise a minimum of $20k to receive a dollar for dollar match to be used for a 1-year pilot grant. The ODC will match up to a maximum of $30k, but your team can raise beyond this maximum to fund your pilot grant. Team must include a minimum of 15 participants, including cyclists and volunteers.

2. Independent Fundraising Team: If your team is less likely to raise a minimum of $20k to be eligible for matching funds, but would like to participate in the ride as a way to generate interest in your disease area, we are offering an opportunity to do so at this level. Your team pays a $1,000 participation fee (includes 10 cyclist spots) and independently raises funds to be used at your own discretion. The ODC will not offer matching funds and will not facilitate grant funding at this level.
